Tips and tricks on cutting through the congress noise

Global congresses are back with a bang this year. Here are some tips from our Med Comms team on how companies like yours can cut through the noise ahead of a busy congress season in 2023.

Maximise your digital presence

It’s no surprise that your contact point with potential attendees should start well before the congress date itself. Inform delegates of your presence, keynote presentations worth their time, and KOLs to pay attention to via eDMs and targeted social media content

In-person engagement

Your booth team and colleagues on the ground should all be in sync on the narrative that informs your presence. Are you announcing new data, reinforcing the safety and efficacy of a product, or disclosing your upcoming research pipeline? Time on the exhibition floor is limited for HCPs who are constantly move between lectures. Always stay armed with handouts and key messages to be memorable.

Holding the attention of your stakeholders

Maintain the interest of your key stakeholders throughout the meeting with insightful content like daily wrap-ups, soundbites from KOLs you have secured to speak, important announcements or breakthrough research, and what to look out for the next day.

Punchy post-event comms

Your HCP communication should continue even after the congress and go beyond the basic thank you email. Stay top of mind with your audience by providing a post-event highlight, access to a session recording, or posters presented during the meeting.

The World Congress of Dermatology in July, and the World Conference on Lung Cancer in September, are both fast approaching!
